Without fear! To progress with the Water Grid project, connecting water sources throughout the Eastern region.

East Water has delivered project assets of the water pipeline to the Treasury Department as per the contractual agreement, reaffirming confidence that the Eastern region will have sufficient water supply to meet its needs. The project accelerates the construction of a water pipeline linking water sources throughout the entire Eastern region or Water Grid, with a total length of 526 kilometers, aiming to lead in water management for the Eastern region.

Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited or East Water entered into a management and operation contract for the main water pipeline system in the Eastern region with the Ministry of Finance on 26th December, 1993, with a duration of 30 years. The objective is to have East Water manage the water pipeline system and collect raw water fees under the terms and conditions of the mentioned contract.

On 30th December, 2023, the Treasury Department and East Water conducted an on-site inspection of the project assets to be delivered. In addition, on 31st December, 2023, the Treasury Department and East Water signed a handover-receipt record for the water pipeline system, according to the management and operation contract for the main water pipeline system in the Eastern region. The handover of assets has been completed.

East Water expects that the delivery of these assets may have some impact on the volume of raw water supply. However, the construction of the water pipeline network by East Water is near completion, with an additional approximately 139 kilometers of pipelines. This will make the total length of the water pipeline system approximately 526 kilometers, forming the Water Grid to connect water sources throughout the entire Eastern region. This aims to meet the increasing water demand both now and in the future, especially in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). Additionally, East Water is advancing its full-cycle water business, including tap water, industrial water, wastewater treatment, and water reclamation. In the past, contracts for comprehensive water projects exceeding 100,000 cubic meters per day have been signed. East Water is ready to return as the main water pipeline service provider with the highest potential in Thailand in the first quarter of 2024.
