East Water raised the level of cooperation with the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) by signing a memorandum of understanding to develop education and approaches for managing raw water systems and to study the tap water production technology to meet drinking water standards. This cooperation was to build confidence among people to have widespread tap water that was actually drinkable in the near future.
Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited or East Water, led by Mr. Sombat Yusamart, Acting President and Deputy Managing Director Finance and Accounting, signed the memorandum of understanding to participate in the study of approaches for raw water system management services and to study the tap water production technology to meet drinking water standards. This was joined by the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA), led by Mr. Chakkraphong Khamchan, Acting Governor of the Provincial Waterworks Authority, as the signatory of this memorandum of understanding.
The cooperation of East Water and the Provincial Waterworks Authority this time was considered an important enhancement of cooperation in which East Water would be able to support the mission of the Provincial Waterworks Authority in all dimensions of water. This included jointly studying the approaches for raw water system management services to create stability, security and have sufficient raw water to meet the needs of the people throughout the country. Potential study and the possibility of water sources included the study of raw water pumping systems suitable for use in water production in each area. Apart from studying raw water, the study was also conducted on the methods and technology for producing tap water that meets drinking water standards. To build confidence for the people to have tap water for thorough use, the project feasibility, risks, and investment plan was studied under the scope of cooperation in the future.
