East Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (EASTW) has maintained its corporate credit rating of “A-” with a “Stable” outlook from TRIS Rating, reflecting its strong position as a leading raw water management and supply provider in Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) and its ability to support future industrial growth.
According to TRIS Rating, EASTW’s strengths include its water transmission pipeline network spanning more than 553 kilometers, diversified water sources, efficient water management systems, and decades of operational expertise. These advantages enable the company to maintain a reliable water supply and a strong competitive position across the EEC.
Mr. Sombat Yusamart, Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of EASTW, said the reaffirmation reflects confidence in the company’s business fundamentals, operational capabilities, and prudent financial management.
"EASTW is well positioned to meet rising water demand driven by the expansion of targeted industries in the EEC, particularly data centers, semiconductor manufacturing, and other advanced technology sectors. We remain committed to investing in water infrastructure to strengthen Thailand’s water security, support long-term economic growth, and attract future investment," Mr. Sombat said.
TRIS Rating expects water demand to recover from the second half of 2026 through 2027, supported by drier weather conditions and the El Niño phenomenon. Expansion of data centers and semiconductor manufacturing is also expected to drive water demand in the EEC. TRIS Rating forecasts EASTW’s total revenue at THB 3.6–4.0 billion annuallyduring 2026–2028.
The Group’s tap water business is expected to grow steadily, supported by concession agreements in Chonburi, Rayong and Chachoengsao with minimum purchase commitments. The industrial water business is also expected to benefit from continued infrastructure investment and manufacturing expansion in the EEC.
TRIS Rating expects EASTW to maintain strong profitability, with an EBITDA margin of approximately 50% during 2026–2028, supported by efficient cost management and greater utilization of its completed main water transmission pipeline network, reducing reliance on external water sources.
The reaffirmation of EASTW’s “A-/Stable” credit rating underscores the company’s strong financial position and business fundamentals. As Thailand’s strategic water resource manager, EASTW continues to strengthen national water security, support investment in future industries, and contribute to sustainable economic growth in the EEC and Thailand.
