Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (EAST WATER) reaffirmed its role as Thailand’s leading integrated water management company and a key driver of Water Security in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) by welcoming executives and representatives from WHA Utilities and Power Public Company Limited (WHAUP), together with GC-M PTA Company Limited (GCM PTA), a subsidiary of PTT Global Chemical (GC) and a major water user in WHA Eastern Industrial Estate (Map Ta Phut) or WHA EIE, to visit the company’s water management facilities.

The delegation visited the Nong Pla Lai Booster Pumping Station and Nong Pla Lai Pumping Station 2 in Rayong Province to gain insights into EAST WATER’s comprehensive water management system, covering raw water resource management, water transmission operations, interconnected pipeline networks, and preparedness measures for drought conditions and climate variability that may arise in the future.

The visit reflects the confidence of the industrial sector in EAST WATER’s capabilities as a critical infrastructure provider supporting investment and economic growth, particularly within the EEC, which serves as a strategic hub for future industries, including advanced manufacturing, digital industries, and data centers that require a stable and high-quality water supply.

EAST WATER places significant emphasis on strengthening Water Security through the development of interconnected water networks linking multiple water sources. This approach enhances operational flexibility, reduces reliance on a single source, and ensures uninterrupted water delivery even during periods of water scarcity or extreme weather events.

In addition, the company continues to advance Smart Water Management by leveraging data analytics and digital technologies to support proactive water allocation planning, while assessing future water demand trends to enhance Climate Resilience and increase the capacity to accommodate sustainable industrial and community growth.

Following the visit, representatives from GCM PTA noted that the site tour provided a clearer understanding of EAST WATER’s water management capabilities, including system readiness, emergency response capacity, and the ability to maintain continuous water supply services. These factors are considered essential in building long-term confidence among industrial customers and supporting business continuity.
