Sustainability is not only about securing water resources—it is also about creating shared value for communities and the environment.
East Water has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization and Thap Ma Municipality to develop the Thap Ma Raw Water Reservoir into a public space dedicated to exercise, recreation, and community well-being.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to enhancing quality of life, expanding accessible green spaces, and maximizing the social and environmental value of water infrastructure. The project aims to transform the reservoir surroundings into a safe and inclusive destination where residents can exercise, relax, and engage in community activities while enjoying a healthier natural environment.
Mr. Bordin Udol, Chief Executive Officer of East Water, emphasized that ESG serves as a guiding principle for the company’s business operations. Beyond managing water resources efficiently and responsibly, East Water is committed to generating positive impacts for surrounding communities and ecosystems.
“The development of the Thap Ma Reservoir demonstrates how water infrastructure can create benefits beyond its primary function. This partnership represents our ongoing commitment to ESG by delivering long-term environmental, social, and economic value to local communities.”
The project responds to growing public demand for health and wellness spaces. In 2025 alone, the reservoir welcomed more than 70,000 visitors, with evening hours accounting for approximately 80% of total usage, reflecting its importance as a community destination for exercise and recreation.
Through this partnership, East Water and its partners aim to strengthen community well-being, promote healthy lifestyles, increase green space accessibility, and support sustainable urban development in Rayong Province.
At East Water, we believe that sustainable water management and sustainable communities go hand in hand.
