EAST WATER Joins Activity Planting Coconut Trees and Collecting Beach Waste at Laem Rungrueang Beach, Rayong to Create Green Spaces for Sustainability

Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited continues to promote natural resource and environmental conservation under its commitment to conducting business alongside Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) responsibilities. The company recently participated in the “Pinning the Mark for Thai Sea Conservation 3” activity, organized by

Green Life Plus, at Laem Rungrueang Beach. The event aimed to restore marine and coastal resources, raise environmental awareness, and encourage collaboration among all sectors in preserving the nation’s natural resources sustainably.

During the activity, EAST WATER executives and employees joined government agencies, local administrative organizations, private-sector partners, educational institutions, and volunteer networks in planting coconut trees along the beach to increase green areas and strengthen the coastal landscape. Coconut trees not only provide shade and enhance biodiversity but also help reduce coastal erosion and support the long-term balance of the coastal ecosystem.

Participants also took part in collecting waste along the beach and surrounding areas to reduce the amount of garbage that could flow into the sea, minimize impacts on marine life and ecosystems, and help maintain the cleanliness and beauty of natural tourist attractions, which are valuable resources for the local economy and the quality of life of nearby communities.

EAST WATER’s participation in this activity reflects the company’s strong commitment to operating its business in harmony with environmental stewardship. Recognizing that water resources and natural resources are fundamental to national development, the company believes that maintaining ecological balance is a shared responsibility requiring serious cooperation from all sectors to ensure the sustainability of natural resources for present and future generations.

The “Pinning the Mark for Thai Sea Conservation” initiative has been organized continuously for five years with the goal of building an environmental cooperation network and encouraging organizations and the public to recognize the importance of marine and coastal conservation through hands-on activities. The initiative seeks to foster an environmentally friendly society and support sustainable development.

EAST WATER remains committed to continuously driving environmental, social, and community initiatives alongside its core mission of managing raw water resources and developing the country’s water infrastructure. Through these efforts, the company aims to help improve people’s quality of life while supporting economic growth based on a balanced approach between development and sustainable natural resource conservation.
