Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (EAST WATER) participated in the official kick-off ceremony for the participatory action research project “EEC Water Alliance: Know–Adapt–Resilience”, organized by the Office of Lifelong Learning Development, Kasetsart University. The initiative brings together five leading organizations in Thailand's water resources sector, including the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR), the Royal Irrigation Department (RID), the Department of Water Resources (DWR), and the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA). The ceremony was held at the Office of Lifelong Learning Development, Kasetsart University.

The “EEC Water Alliance: Know–Adapt–Resilience” project is a Participatory Action Research (PAR) initiative designed to establish a collaborative learning platform that connects water users across all sectors—including industry, agriculture, and households. The project aims to improve public access to accurate water situation information, promote a shared understanding among stakeholders, and reduce information gaps that may otherwise lead to conflicts over water allocation within Thailand's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC). The initiative is particularly significant in light of the increasing impacts of El Niño and climate change, which continue to intensify water-related challenges.

On this occasion, Mr. Prajak Amornkul, Assistant President – Strategy of Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited (EAST WATER), reaffirmed the company's commitment to strengthening investor confidence in water resource management within the EEC. EAST WATER continues to work in close collaboration with the Office of the National Water Resources (ONWR), the Royal Irrigation Department (RID), and other key partners to ensure the stability and reliability of the eastern regional water grid, supporting long-term industrial growth and sustainable economic development.

The “EEC Water Alliance: Know–Adapt–Resilience” project will commence implementation immediately in May 2026. By August 2026, the project will deliver a Policy Brief together with sector-specific adaptation guidelines for submission to relevant government agencies and public dissemination. These outputs are expected to serve as practical tools to help all sectors prepare for and effectively respond to future water challenges in the Eastern Economic Corridor, while reinforcing sustainable water security in line with Kasetsart University's mission as a leading institution for lifelong learning and social contribution.
