East Water Highlights Strength of Its Water Grid, Ready to Deliver Comprehensive Water Services in Support of U-Tapao Aerocity

Following the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee’s issuance of a Notice to Proceed to U-Tapao International Aviation Company Limited (UTA), with project mobilization scheduled to commence on 3 April 2026.

Eastern Water Resource Development and Management Public Company Limited (East Water) affirms its readiness to support the U-Tapao Aerocity development. As the sole concessionaire responsible for the design, construction and operation of water production and distribution systems for the U-Tapao Aerocity project, East Water stands prepared to provide end-to-end water utility services once UTA initiates construction activities.

Mr. Chumphon Chankham, Senior Executive Vice President – Operations, East Water, stated, “The U-Tapao Aerocity project is connected to East Water’s Water Grid, which integrates the region’s principal water sources. In addition, our 12-million-cubic-meter raw water storage reservoir in Thap Ma, Rayong Province, ensures reliable and continuous water supply to the Aerocity. We have developed water production facilities that are ready to serve at project start-up and are scalable to accommodate future growth.”

Beyond potable water production, East Water is prepared to develop and manage integrated water systems across the Aerocity’s 6,500-rai site, including potable water distribution, wastewater treatment and potential water reuse. These services will support urban development, commercial areas, residential zones, hotels and convention facilities, thereby facilitating national economic growth while adhering to sustainable and continuous water resource management standards.

East Water believes that water security will be a key enabler for U-Tapao Aerocity to fully realize its economic potential. The company is ready to collaborate with all stakeholders to support the project’s emergence as a modern regional aviation and logistics hub.
