East Water - Amata Water signs industrial water purchase agreement

Providing services in Amata City Rayong 2 Industrial Estate

East Water signed an industrial water purchase agreement with Amata Water to provide industrial water services to Amata City Rayong 2 Industrial Estate, enhancing security and stability in water resources to meets the project’s maximum water demand of 6,000 cubic meters per day. This can build the confidence among long-term water users in industrial estate areas in the eastern region.

            Mr. Cherdchai Pitiwatcharakul, President of Eastern Water Resources Management and Development Public Company Limited or East Water, signed an industrial water purchase agreement with Mr. Chuchart Saithin, Managing Director of Amata Water Company Limited, in response of water use needs for the entrepreneurs in Amata City Rayong 2 Industrial Estate to ensure stable and continuous development and management of water resources in the industrial estate.

            This industrial water purchase agreement can support water demand in Amata City Rayong 2 Industrial Estate in the quantity of 6,000 cubic meters per day or 2.1 million cubic meters per year and it will increase to 13,000 cubic meters per day in the future. The agreement has a term of 30 years and will begin receiving industrial water in the 3rd quarter of 2024. Amata City Rayong 2 Industrial Estate has an area of approximately 1,500 rai to meet the demand for water in the light industry group that has been promoted by the Office of the Board of Investment (BOI) such as the textile industry, electronic component assembly, medical equipment, food, jewelry including industries that are the future group (New S-curve), which is an industry group that emphasizes the use of technology and innovation that has been promoted by the Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand (EEC) such as the robot industry, aviation and logistics, integrated digital and medical, biofuels and biochemicals, etc.

Over the past 30 years, East Water’s operations have continuously created water security in the eastern region to develop water resource management potential. This can reinforce the vision as a leader in creating stability in the management and development of the country’s comprehensive water resources with smart technology. The sustainable business growth can be created based on transparent management and good governance as a foundation for sustainability. The project is joined by Amata Water to make the development and management of water resources within the industrial estate stable and continuous as well as meeting the water use needs of entrepreneurs.
