East Water wins Sustainability Model Organization Award in the Thai Capital Market for Supporting Persons with Disabilities
East Water wins an Award for “Sustainability Model Organization in the Thai Capital Market for Supporting Persons with Disabilities” for the Year 2022 and will move forward with a standpoint to promote career development and create opportunities for people with disabilities in society.
Eastern Water Resources Development and Management Public Company Limited or East Water by Mrs. Thidarat Kraiprasit, Executive Vice President, Support Division received an award for "Sustainable Model Organization in the Thai Capital Market for Supporting Persons with Disabilities” for the Year 2022 given by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor, Department of Skill Development, Department of Employment, Department of Empowerment and Development of Persons with Disabilities, Thai Listed Companies Association and the Association of Disabled Persons Council of Thailand. The event was honored by Mr. Boonchob Suttamanatwong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labour, to be the chairman and the award givers at the Grand Ballroom, Hyatt Erawan Hotel, Bangkok
The award aims to motivate organizations that are ready and have potential in the capital market sector to employ people with disabilities and support more careers for people with disabilities, reflecting East Water’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for people, adhering to equal practices, along with supporting people with disabilities to use their potential to improve the quality of life and have better well-being.
In addition to hiring people with disabilities, East Water has worked with the Chachoengsao Office of the Non-Formal and Informal Education (NFE) to organize a computer teaching project for students with disabilities. The objective is to develop students with disabilities to have knowledge and understanding of basic computer usage and able to use computers in daily life. It also helps to develop a career and creating opportunities for people with disabilities to participate and reduce inequality in society which is part of social responsibility on the basis of conducting business towards sustainability as well.
